El Salvador is a small nation in Central America. It is known for its Pacific Ocean beaches, surfing spots and mountainous landscape.
Day 1 - San Salvador
Arrival in El Salvador, transfer to Hotel. In the evening we suggest you to visit one of our shopping malls: Multiplaza or Gran Via. Overnight at a 4* hotel in San Salvador.
Day 2 - City Tour and Volcano
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up for city tour of San Salvador. Our local guide will be happy to show you our capital of San Salvador and learn all about the history of the country, the culture and our people. We start visiting: the Historic Center of San Salvador, with its cathedral and Mausoleum of Monsignor Romero; also panoramic visit of the modern, including the national library and the new neighborhoods of San Salvador. Free time for lunch (Lunch not included). Afterwards we will visit the Boquerón National Park, which is located on top of the volcano of San Salvador at 1800 meters above sea level, in a volcanic mountain range in the department of La Libertad. Return to the hotel.
Day 3 - Archaeological Route
30 minutes from San Salvador, is the Joya de Ceren Archaeological Site, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site: it is a Naya village that was buried by the ashes of the eruption of a nearby volcano, then visit the Archaeological Site of Political and Ceremonial Court of San Andres, with its pyramids. Also, visit to the Ceremonial Site of Tazumal, the highest pyramid in El Salvador. Free time for lunch (not included). After lunch stop with a view of Lake Coatepeque (lunch not included) and return to the hotel.
Day 4 - Free Day
Breakfast. Free day.
Day 5 - San Salvador - Airport
Breakfast. 4 hours before departure transfer to the airport for departure.
